Lhasa Cultural Tour 4 days

Explore the Highest human settlement plateau, the Tibetan Plateau, which is located north of the Himalayan ranges. Lhasa City is the capital city (3,656 m) of the Tibetan Autonomous Region and is based on this plateau.

The 4-day tour ideally discovers the Historical and Cultural highlights of Lhasa. Once you embark on our 4-day Tibet tour, you will visit Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Barkhor Bazaar, Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Drepung Monastery, which are the iconic spots to visit while in Lhasa city.

The Tour begins from visit Potala palace in the morning to avoid the crowds. The palace was built in 1645 by the fifth Dalai Lama. Barkhor market is the ancient round street market with varied shops. Jorkhang Temple is a four-stored holy temple in Tibet with a golden pinnacle. The second day is followed by Norbulingka Palace which is the summer palace of Dalai Lama. This is the biggest man-made garden in Tibet. Afterwards, visit Sera and Drepung Monastery. Lhasa City is dominated by Buddhist philosophy visit the Sera Monastery where you can enjoy the debates conducted by Buddhist monks at the Monastery and Drepung is the largest and most influential monastery in Tibet.

Permits and Visa

Traveling to Tibet requires a special permit and visa, which we will obtain for you in Kathmandu from the Chinese Embassy. This process takes approximately 4 working days. Please note that obtaining a Chinese visa on your own in your home country may result in its cancellation.

Small Group Private Tour

Due to new regulations by the Tibetan government, a minimum of 4 participants is required for a group visa. Group sizes typically range from 4 to 12 people. If you looking for a private tour group joining, please inform us in advance.

Best Time to Travel in Tibet/ Lhasa

Tibet, known as the "Roof of the World," experiences dry and cold weather. The best time to visit is between September and November and mid-April to mid-June. July and August are foggy and rainy, while December to February is extremely cold. March is officially closed for tourism.

01Day

Morning you will fly for about an hour over the panoramic Himalayan ranges to the capital of Tibet” Lhasa”. Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means “Place of the God”, the resident of Dalai Lama., on arrival you will be met by the local representative and transferred to your respective Hotel (60km/hr). Full rest in the afternoon to acclimatize Overnight at the Hotel.

02Day

After breakfast proceed for a full day of sightseeing including Potala Palace, Potala Palace is one of the most beautiful monuments in Tibet with 1,000 rooms and 13 stores to explore this is probably the most popular tourist attraction in Tibet and Jokhang Temple, Jokhang Temple which was constructed back on the 7th century attracts hundreds of tourist every year. This temple has a very huge Shakyamuni Buddha statue and is considered the holiest place in Tibet. Barkhor Market Palace, Barkhor Street is the centrifugal tide of pilgrims then you can see several small, fascinating temples on the route. Overnight at Hotel.

03Day

 After breakfast full day sightseeing of at Sera Monastery, Sera Monastery specialized in the fundamental precepts of Buddhism. Sera survived the ravage of the cultural revolution with light damage, although many of the lesser colleges were destroyed. Drepung Monastery, Drepung Monastery was once one of the world’s largest monasteries. Drepung was founded in 1416.
