Essential Information

Best Time for a 9-Day Cross-Country Tour

While personal preferences play a vital role, here's a general guide on the ideal times to visit Nepal and Bhutan for a 9-day cross-country tour:

Spring (March to May):

This is widely considered the peak season in Bhutan. Pleasant weather with moderate temperatures, blooming flowers, and stunning landscapes create a magical experience. However, expect larger crowds and potentially higher travel costs.

Autumn (September to November):

Autumn offers another excellent window for a Bhutanese adventure. The weather is typically clear and sunny, with neither extreme heat nor cold. This season coincides with several festivals, like the Thimphu Tshechu in Bhutan, adding a vibrant cultural dimension to your trip.

Winter (December to February):

Winter can be a great time to visit for those comfortable with colder temperatures, especially in higher altitudes. Clear skies enhance the majestic Himalayan views. However, some mountain passes might be closed due to snow, potentially limiting your itinerary.

Summer (June to August):

Summer months seek heavy rainfall in Bhtan, causing extensive trekking or hiking challenges. However, if cultural exploration and experiencing local festivals are your priorities, summer can still be a viable option.

Important Note for cross country Tour

  • Ensure your Passport has 6 months of validity beyond the travel dates.
  • Book your tour earlier to secure the space and avoid stress. Make it easy for us to book flights, accommodation, visas, and more.
  • Chisapani - Nagarkot hiking and Tiger Nest Hiking involve 4- 5 hours of walking, so regular physical activities are recommended to enhance stamina.
  • The major international currency and Visa cards are accepted. There are a limited number of ATMs outside the City.
