Everest Base Camp Journey involves 5 to 7 hours of daily walking up and down through the rocky terrain so it would be easy if you are mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for it. As for the EBC Trek preparation, we strongly advise Aerobic Exercise and morning jugging with 5 kg of your day pack and swimming. Is Everest Base Camp Trek Difficult?
Anyone with good physical endurance can complete this EBC trek. A journey to EBC from Lukla is about 65 km one way and takes 7 days to reach and 3 days to return. The difficulty is moderate as the Everest Base Camp trek does not require technical experience or mountaineering skills to complete it. The trek involves about 5/7 hours of walking daily on the rugged trails. Acclimatization is a must, we have scheduled two acclimatization days at various altitudes at Namche Bazaar (3,440m) and at Dingboche (4,400m) to avoid altitude sickness. Keep your body hydrated by drinking enough water. You have an opportunity to go over a Cho-La Pass to Gokyo Lake valley and experience the vibrant torquoise water and breathtaking Himalayan views from Gokyo Ri.
