Nepal Trekking Gear List /What to pack for Nepal Trekking

Trekking gear is the most important item to make your journey safe and successful. The important components are having proper trekking gear, updated information, better planning/Itinerary, legal local company, and a professional Guide. The length of the holiday significantly impacts how much you need to pack and where you are planning for your adventure!

Here is a recommended trekking and hiking equipment list that makes it easy to pack items for trekking and tours in Nepal.

Basic Items

Underwear and socks: Pack an adequate number of items for your Holiday.

T-shirts and tops: 2/3 pairs of T-shirts, a woolen hat, sun hat, and Bandana.

Shorts/skirts/pants: Going up in the mountains is always cold and long-sleeved shirts and trousers are recommended. It is recommended to have waterproof trousers with zip on and off.

Personal care Items

Toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Shop, conditioner, and Shampoo: remember biodegradable ones.

Prescription medications (personal): Check properly before departure, you have enough for the trip duration plus a few extra.

First-aid Kits: The first aid includes Antiseptic, elastic Bandage, extra skin, pain remedies, motion sickness medicine, Aspirin, Adhesive bandage, Oximeter, digital thermometer, and hand sanitizer.

Passport and Documents

Passport copy, Double check they are up to date. The passport should be valid for 6 months beyond the travel dates.

Adapters and Chargers for travel: In Nepal power plugs and outlets of type C, type D, and type M are used, which you can buy around Kathmandu.

  • 2 pairs of loose-fitting long shorts/ skirts

  • Toilet articles and towels, Toilet paper
