01Day

Landing at Paro International Airport, a warm welcome by your guide at the arrival gate. Today, we will take it easy to acclimatize to the high altitude. Drive to Thimphu, check in to the hotel, and taste Bhutanese cuisine first. After Lunch, you will visit the National Memorial Chorten built to honor the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, and Thimphu Dzong, the largest Dzong (Monastery) in Bhutan. Every Saturday and Sunday, most of the population congregate on the banks of the river where the Weekend Centenary Farmers’ Market is held. Most of the people of Thimphu and other nearby places come to sell their agricultural products here. Then, you will drive up to Kuenselphodrang, Nature Park where the 169-foot bronze statue of Buddha Dordenma, Vajra Throne Buddha is located. Evening you can enjoy the nightlife around Thimphu Town after dinner.

02Day

After breakfast, begin your journey to Dochula Pass, a scenic mountain pass adorned with 108 Chortens, Chortens were built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, the mother of the current queen. The drive boasts scenic views. Punakha Dzong was Built in 1637, the dzong continues to be the winter home for the clergy. It is a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture. The dzong was destroyed by fire and glacial floods over the years, yet has been carefully restored and is today, a fine example of Bhutanese craftsmanship. Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, built by the third Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, is an impressive example of Bhutanese architecture and art and is the only one of its kind in the world.

03Day

Today you are on the way back to Paro. Make a side trip along the way on the mentioned sites:

Chhimi Lhakhang – A small temple located on a hillock in the center of the valley below Metshina, which holds historical importance. It is a pilgrim site for barren women.

Paro Valley - A beautiful valley that is home to many old monasteries and temples. The country’s only Airport is in Paro. The valley is also home to Mount Chomolhari (7,300 meters) situated at the northern end of the valley, and Pachu River formed by its glacier. A morning drive to the north of Paro Valley brings us to the ruins of Drukgyal Dzong. Visit the ancient great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal built in 1647.

04Day

Another exciting day of the trip! You will be making the hike up to one of the most highlighted sites in Bhutan, “Tiger's Nest aka Taktsang Monastery”

Taktsang Monastery - A one-hour hike to the cafeteria is also a vantage viewpoint overlooking the stunning view of the monastery. Cliffs are decorated with prayer flags.  At this point where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century. This is why it is called Tiger Nest Monastery!

Kyichu Lhakhang – After Lunch, we will retrace our steps to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.

Mostly, the flight leaves from Kathmandu to Paro and returns in the Morning. After breakfast, you will be dropped off at Paro International Airport for your flight.

Pony Services to Tiget Nest Monastery

Bhutan is famous for Pony riding as well. If you have a knee problems then take a horse to visit Tiger Nest Monastery. Remember, You can take a horse until the cafeteria which is the half of the way. Total distance is 3 km one way. There willbe different cost for different city.

Bhutanese Traditional Bath-Hot Stone Bath-10 USD for an hour: The hot stone bath is a traditional Bhutanese bath uses a rock taken from river that are heated till red hot and places into water to release the minerals from the stone.

Airport in Bhutan: Bhutan is a small landlocked country in South Asia. Paro Airport is the only international airport in Bhutan, situated at 2,235 m in a deep valley.

Bhutan Tour Royalty: Bhutan promotes sustainable tourism guided by the principle ‘high value, low impact’. The number of tourists allowed to visit is fixed, and tourists are required to pay tourism sustainable fees on top of visa fees, which are used for health, education, and infrastructure in Bhutan. Bhutan Climate: The climate of Bhutan ranges from snow-freezing temperatures in the Himalayas to temperate and tropical climates in the valleys and plains in the south. During winter, the temperature averages 16 degrees Celsius in daytime but drops below zero degrees Celsius at night. The Summer temperature ranges from about 25 degrees Celsius maximum and around 12-15 degrees Celsius minimum.

Bhutan's necessary Clothing: From May to September, cotton clothes are sufficient to keep you warm or cool, depending on the timing. However, woolen sweaters and warm jackets are recommended from November to April.
