Leaving Jagat behind and heading to Lokpa is a beautiful day of the trek offering the Buddha Himal View. Descend to Lungwa Khola climb up through Rhododendron Forest and reach Lokpa. Then, enter into the Virgin Valley inhabited by Tsumbas people. The total population of the area is about 4000. While you are on the Tsum Valley Manaslu trek, you will experience the six-climate zone as we have mentioned in the Manaslu Circuit trek. The Tsum Valley Trek begins from Lokpa going through the wilderness passing Milarepa Caves, Lining Mane Wall, and seeing yaks and their huts. Phungen Gompa (Around 4050 m/11316 ft.)
You may take a detour from Shyalla or Sama Gaon. This is the most picturesque place at the Manaslu Base Camp.
Birendra Tal (3450 m/ 11316 ft.)
This is a high-altitude freshwater turquoise lake fed by glaciers. It is an hour's walk from Sama Gaon. You may try to swim or wash your feet.
Manaslu Base Camp (4900 m/16072 ft.)
At the base for the Manaslu expedition, mountaineers patch their tents and stay for acclimatization. It is 4 hours walk from Sama Gaon into the steep slope. The view of the lake, glacier, landscape, and vegetation is extraordinary.
