Mt. Manaslu is the 8th highest mountain in the world. Manaslu region was open for trekkers in 1992 and Tsum Valley was opened in 2007 AD for trekking through a registered Trekking company. Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek begins after a day-long bus drive to Machhakhola. The area lies in the northern part of Gorkha District, also known as the trans-Himalayan region. The trek takes you to the border of Tibet behind the high mountains.

Trekking around the majestic Mt. Manaslu offers a unique blend of Tibetan culture and the traditions of the local Gurung tribes. Explore the captivating Manaslu Tsum Valley circuit and immerse yourself in this cultural fusion.

Follow the classical Manaslu Circuit Trails and the ancient salt trade route through the Budhi Gandaki basin to Jagat. Jagat is an old Tax collection center with a police check post to control illegal activities and permit checking. Leaving Jagat behind and heading to Lokpa is a beautiful day of the trek offering the Buddha Himal View. Descend to Lungwa Khola climb up through Rhododendron Forest and reach Lokpa. Then, enter into the Virgin Valley inhabited by Tsumbas people. The total population of the area is about 4000. While you are on the Tsum Valley Manaslu trek, you will experience the six-climate zone as we have mentioned in the Manaslu Circuit trek. The Tsum Valley Trek begins from Lokpa going through the wilderness passing Milarepa Caves, Lining Mane Wall, and seeing yaks and their huts. The old Monastery and Tibetan tribes with their custom and culture are the highlight of the trekking. After you visit Chhokangparo, Milarepa Cave, Rachen Gompa, and Nile, the adventure ends at Lokpa and another adventure continues to the Manaslu Circuit trek.
