Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek starts after the short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After meeting your team at the airport, the leader will coordinate with porters and check post formalities to begin the journey.

The Ama Dablam Base Camp trek takes you through the traditional settlement of Sherpa, passing the Mani Wall, the Tibetan Mantra engraved wall, and Monasteries along the Dudh Koshi River. Moreover, crossing the river over a suspension bridge offers swing views of valleys and mountains. Explore the Namche Bazaar and visit some of the iconic places. On the acclimatization day visit Sherpa Mesuem, National Park Headquarters, the local Monastery. A day hike to Khunjung (3720m) offers to visit Hillary School, Community Hospital, and Khumjung Monastery to see the Yeti Skul, and a trek to Everest View Hotel on the way back to Namche Bazar will be highlights of the trek. A day trip to Tengboche from Namche will be moderately difficult as you are descending 300 m and ascending 600 m. to Tengboche (3860 m). Tengboche is one of the sacred sites in Everest Base Camp Trails. The Tengboche offers a glimpse of the Monastery, Mt. Everest, and Lhotse wall with Nuptse, Ama Dablam view at the finest position. Enjoy the immersive Buddhist culture along the Ama Dablam Base Camp trek. Pangboche (3930 m) to the Base of Ama Dablam (4,500m) takes about 3 hours. In the off-season (Jan-February-July-August) the lodge is considered to be closed at base camp. From Pangboche keep heading north will leads to the Everest Three High Pass Trek to EBC.

Slow walking, keeping the body hydrated, and eating sufficient food will minimize the risk. The altitude sickness symptoms include headache, fatigue, vomiting, nausea, and dizziness. Your guide is well-known for handling emergencies. So just be calm and relax, there will be an emergency team to evacuate if necessary. 01Day

On the first day, we take an early morning flight to Lukla on a twin-propeller plane. After you land on Lukla walk along the descending trails, passing engraving stone, mani wall, and the fluttering colorful prayer flag along the trail. Remember, move in a clockwise direction whenever you move the prayer wheels and mani wall. After 3/4 hrs of walking, you will reach today’s destination, which is Phakding.

Note: The Lukla flight may depart from Ramechhap during the busy season.

Please remember: In high season all the (Short Take-off and landing) STOL flights may be conducted from Ramechap-Lukla-Ramechap to avoid air traffic and delays. Kathmandu to Ramechap is 130km/5 hrs. The Flight to Lukla from Ramechap is just 15 minutes. So, your departure from the Hotel will be about 2/3 am in the morning by bus. Private transportation is available for an extra cost.

02Day

On this day, you move towards the popular town in the Everest region, Namche Bazaar. Have your breakfast and start ascending towards the Upper Khumbu area. Watching the people move along the paths and greeting them with a smile or nod of the head, we start our morning hike towards Namche Bazaar. The trail might be a busy one as it is the path to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Trek. Pass Chumoa, Monjo, and Tawa after which you reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Cross the suspension bridge and move ahead to Jorsalle and Larja Dobhan where you cross another bridge. This is the junction of the Bhotekoshi and Dudhkoshi rivers. You are approaching the Himalayas as you move ahead. Viewing all-mountain and pine forest and following the yak trail takes you to Namche Bazar. On the way, you will have your first glimpse of Mount Everest, Amadablam, Thamserku, and many more. Arrival and check in Guest House.

03Day

This is the acclimatization day where you stay at Namche Bazaar to adjust your body to the higher altitude. On this day we move on a higher altitude place and then descend to lower one to stay at night. You can take optional routes to spend the day:

Optional hike to Thame or Khumjung Monastery and Everest View Hotel (3880m/12,804ft) and back to Namche.

04Day

In the early morning, we descend towards Phunki Tenga and move northeast towards Tengboche passing Gompa along the way. With clearer views of mountain ranges, walk freely and slowly observing the beauty of the settlements and pine forests in nature. Enjoy the scenic mastery played beautifully by Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Tengboche is the overnight stay of today’s trek.

05Day

Tengboche is a heavenly paradise, that offers a tranquil environment and stunning mountain vista including Everest just above the Lhotse and Nuptse walls. After Pangboche the path is rugged and fragile. Visiting the cultural arenas of sherpa people along the way, Follow the routes of Deboche, Pangboche, Chhulungche and finally you reach your destination Ama Dablam Base Camp.

06Day

Explore the Base Camp and its tranquil scenery and trek back to Pangboche (3,930m). Trek through upper part of Pangboche to Phortse village 3810m and descend to the river side and up to Mangla Danda. The last part of the trek is super challenging uphill but worth it. Between Pangboche to Mangla Danda, you rarely met anyone. You will be fully into the wilderness. Just enjoy!

07Day

This is another scenic view point of the Everest region trek. Enjoy the great Mountain view including Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Ama Dablam, Peak 38, Island Peak, Lhotse sar, Nuptse, Everest, Pomari, Kwagde peak, Tabuche peak in 360-degree angles. Descend to Manjo via Namche Bazar. The total walking duration is 7 hours.

08Day
