How to go Bardia Jungle Safari.
You can reach Bardia by bus or by plane. A daily bus leaves from Kathmandu to Dhangadi or Mahendranagar. The bus will drop you off at Ambassa. At the Ambassa our staff will receive you. It is 568 km and takes about 18 hours. Only the night bus is available from Kathmandu and Pokhara. Daily flights is available from Kathmandu and Pokhara to Nepaljung, which is the nearest airport to Bardia. Nepaljung to Bardia is about 75 km. If you are trekking to Rara Lake, Shey Phoksundo Lake, or Upper Dolpo trek then stop at Bardia National Park for the wildlife safari and refreshment.
Best Time to Visit: The best times to visit Bardia National Park from October until June. Spring is best for sighting tigers and bluebell birds, which is not found in Chitwan National Park. April to June has hotter temperatures but is excellent for tiger sightings. October to March: Pleasant weather, dry terrain, and increased wildlife activity. The monsoon season (July to August) is too wet and has less chance of spotting wildlife. Accommodation: At Bardia, there are different categories of hotels, resorts, and eco-friendly lodges. You will have a similar room facility to those in Kathmandu and Pokhara. From Deluxe to Budget type of accommodation is available in Bardia National Park. Remember, there are no lodges inside the Park.
