Overview of the Everest Base Camp Trek
The Everest Base Camp Trek is a never-ending exhilarating adventure in the Himalayan realm of Nepal. The base camp is situated at an elevation of 5,364 m (17600 feet) and offers breathtaking views of the Khumbu Ice fall including the tallest Mt. Everest. The Everest Base Camp Trip generally takes 12 to 14 days, taking through lush forests, ancient Sherpa villages, architecturally decorated Monasteries, and the immersive culture and tradition. Beside EBC, there is another exhilarating Everest Three High Pass Trek route just next to you.
Best Time to Trek EBC
Everest Base Camp Trek is for all seasons but to ensure your best experience, Spring (March, April, May, and June), and Autumn (October, November, and December) are the ideal time for EBC. During these months the weather is stable with clear skies, pleasurable temperatures, and opportunity to encounter wildlife.
However, people join this trek in the monsoon season (July, August, and September) and winter season (January and February) as well. Monsoons get heavy rainfall causing the path muddy, slippery, and poor visibility. The winter season is freezing and limited teahouses remain open. The winter views are just amazing!
